We Have a Winner

| February 22, 2015

At the beginning of the 2014 school year, the KAPU staff did some dreaming about how we could revolutionize our station’s programming and create some new and exciting shows. From those initial meetings, shows like “Homework Happy Hour,” “KAPU Presents,” and music blocks like “Throwback Thursday” were born. One other show, the brain child of our Show Producer Tyler Hill, came to life that day. Today, the work paid off.

We are pleased to announce that our biweekly program and podcast “Discovery” took first place in audio production for a small school at the 13th Annual BEA Festival of Media Arts. With 1352 entries and 92 other schools competing for top prizes we are honored and proud that our content was one of the winners.

Our staff is so proud of Tyler and his dedication to story telling. If ever there was a reason to start listening to KAPU Radio, now is the time! Our content is award winning!

Tune in every other Monday night at 7PM to catch the award winning “Discovery.” During the rest of the week, check out our student workshop shows, like “Blog About it, Talk About it,” or “Talk Nerdy To Me.” When its crunch time, make sure to tune in for two hours of “Homework Happy Hour,” every Sunday night at 7pm for prizes, music, and anti-procrastination music (completely subjective).
